My name is George spratt and I used to live at no 5 forest crescent barons court . I started working for the forestry in 1958 age 15. I was cross cutting champion in I think 61 and 62 and was axe felling champion in 1963 when it was held at Hillsborough co. down I knew Eddie very well , I use to work under him when he was foreman. I'm sadden to hear of his death. He was very skilled at tree felling. I moved to England 1965. I'm now 73 years old. Nice to reflect on those years of long ago. Kind regards George

My generation was possibly the last to be fortunate enough to have Eddie on the line. A great man for the Plunketts who would have done anything to ensure we got a team together for all matches………we miss the “brown bottle” with the secret linament too!!
You are sorely missed Eddie, Rest In Peace.
