Club Membership

Club membership is now due for the incoming year, the rates are the same as last year. Adult membership £25, Youth membership £5 and Family membership £50. Joint membership available with the Clann Chabhan A Chaorthainn. Registration continues this weekend, after vigil Mass on Saturday 12th February and again on Sunday morning Mass, in the Old School. Clann Chabhán A Chaortháinn

Clann Chabhán A Chaortáinn which has replaced Leanúnaigh, is going to launched at various upcoming events. For more information contact Edel Barrett, on edel.barrett@btinternet.com.

Lotto

The winning numbers for Monday 7th February were: 12, 15, 19, 20 and 21. Five lucky dip winners. Snowball is now £200. Lotto still remains at £20,000. The lotto is available in all the local shops.

Ladies

The senior and minor girls continue with their training, on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7.30pm, all girls are asked to attend. If you are unable to attend please contact Lorraine. Start dates for the incoming season are, Seniors – Saturday 9th April, Minors – Saturday 26th February, U16 – TBC Mon 25th July, U14 – Sat 2nd April, U12 – Saturday 16th April and U10 – Saturday 9th April. Youth News

Presentation Buffet Night

The youth buffet and presentation night will be taking place on Saturday 19th February, in Murphy’s. Starting promptly at 8pm sharp. All members from the winning teams of 2010 – Minor girls, Minor boys and U14 boys – are asked to attend. A parent must accompany each youth member. £5 entrance fee for anyone not involved with the teams. U8 and U10 All the U8’s and U10’s, both boys and girls are back out training this Saturday morning at 10.30. Bring indoor and outdoor training gear. Anyone who would like to help out in any way with the training, please feel free to come along, or just stay when you drop off your child, all help is greatly appreciated and much needed.

We still have some teams without their own jerseys and are putting the call out there for anyone who would like to sponsor a set of jerseys to contact Brendan Fullen.

Handball

Monday 7 – 8.30 – U14/15/16 Tuesday 7- 8.30 – U8/10 Wednesday GIRLS ONLY (all night) 6.15- 7.15 – primary school pupils 7.15 – 8.15 – 1st to 3rd years 8.15 – 9.30 – 4th year up to 17 years 9.30 – any senior ladies who would like to use the alley Thursday 7 – 8.30 U12/13

Scor

Well done to our dancing set and quiz team who took part in the semi finals of the scor on Sunday 6th February, in Eglish and have made it through to the final. Which takes place in Galbally on 20th February.

Courses

Drug awareness evening There has been a drug awareness evening organised for Thursday 16th February, in the Pavilion. It will be presented by TIPSA, this is for adults. We hope to see all coaches, players and especially parents, showing their support to this evening and indeed learning about the dangers that are out there.

These courses are aimed at club coaches and are free of charge. Contact Anne Daly for more details on 82249060 or 07894642983. Understanding Systems for Play – in Carrickmore clubrooms, on Wednesday 16th Feb at 7.30pm. The Perfect Coaching Session – in Greencastle, on Wednesday 23rd February at 7.30pm. GAA for all Workshop (Disability Workshop) This interactive workshop is aimed at club coaches and parents who have an interest in delivering adapted Gaelic games and activities to children and young adults with disabilities and special needs. The Tyrone workshop is in Eglish on Wednesday 23rd February, starting at 7.30pm. For more information contact Andrew Quinn on 07540969798.    

Club Merchandise

There is now some new stock for 2011 these include, hoodies, trackies and polo shirts. The club shop will continue to open by request by contacting Maeve Nugent on 87758237 or 07775635391. The shop will also be open on Saturday morning during the youth trainings, 10.30 – 11.30.
