Football
 
Seniors beat Aghyaran at home last Saturday with a fine win on a scoreline of 3-10 to 0-12. Gavin Goodfellow, Aidy Woods and John Loughran all netted. The reserves staged a late comeback to beat the visitors by 2-10 to 2-8. Next up for the lads is Loughmacrory at home with date and time to be confirmed.
There will be no senior or reserve game this week due to Tyrone’s championship match against Cavan. Best wishes to the Red Hands and our own County lads, Hugh Pat, Frank and Kieran. The U21’s take on Errigal Ciaran on Tuesday night at Plunkett park – throw in is 8pm. The lads are at home to Loughmacrory on Monday 20th June at 8pm in round 4 of the U21 competition. Youth – Jackie Lambe U8 Tournament this Saturday and the Jason McKenna U16 competition is due to take place on 25th June at Plunkett Park. The Pearse Kennedy Tournament took place last Saturday with over 150 kids taking part. It was great day and congrats to the young Plunketts who beat Errigal in the final to claim their first title since the tournaments initial year. The U16s lost  in the final of the Heagney/Lagan cup in Gortacladdy last Saturday to the Tones. U12’s won their first game against Aghaloo in Pomeroy by 4 points – up next is an away trip to Stewartstown on Wednesday evening at 7:15pm. Training continues for U8’s and U10’s on Tuesday nights at 7pm.
 
Club Centenary Gala ticket info
 
Tickets are being snapped up for our 100 year Gala event and it will take place on Saturday 22nd Oct 2016 in the Armagh City Hotel. Some tickets are still available. A table seating 10 persons is £750 (deposit of £250 required). Single seat is £75 (£25 deposit required per seat).  Contact any committee member for further ticket information.
 
Lotto
 
The winning numbers for 6th June  were 9, 11, 17, 19 & 23.  P. Burns and Kieran Flanagan matched 4 numbers to scoop £50 each. Jackpot now stands at a whopping £8300 so get in there. Lotto is now available to be played online through the club website at www.theplunkettsgac.ie .The draw currently takes place in Nugent’s Corner Bar every Monday night and everyone is welcome to attend. If anyone is available to sell lotto in the local pubs on a Saturday night please contact Gerry McKenna. The sellers name is placed on a rota and they are only required to do this on approx. 2 occasions during the calendar year.
