Club Notes 26th Sept 2016

Pomeroy Na Pluínceídí CLG notes for 26th Sept 2016

Well done to the senior lads who came from behind at halftime last Saturday to beat Derrytresk by 7 points. There are 2 league games remaining against Cookstown and Loughmacrory. The seniors intermediate final against Derrylaughan will take place at Healy Park Omagh on Sunday 9th Oct at 1:30pm as a curtain raiser for the senior final.

The U13 boys are at home to Aghyaran on Saturday with throw-in at 11am. The U16 girls defeated Badoney at home last week on a scoreline of 8-4 to 3-5 in the league and they are in action in the championship on Wednesday 28th when they take on Aghaloo away at 6:30pm. No doubt all the girls and management had a great day out at Croke Park for the Ladies All-Ireland finals last Sunday.

There will be another opportunity to see Pomeroy Players drama group’s production of Sean O’Casey’s The Shadow of a Gunman will take place this weekend in St Mary’s Hall and the club wishes to thank the players for their contribution to the centenary DVD which will be released in due course.

Please be advised that there are very few tickets remaining for our Gala event which takes place on Saturday 22nd Oct 2016 in the Armagh City Hotel. A table seating 10 persons is £750 (deposit of £250 required). Single seat is £75 (£25 deposit required per seat).  All monies are to be forwarded asap.

Book launch – it will be a night to remember and one not be missed as the 100 year centenary book will be launched in Murphy’s Bar on Saturday 15th Oct by none other than legendary RTE commentator and journalist Mr Micháel ó Muircheartaigh. Come along to relive some of your greatest club memories, enjoy some food and the craíc and a Q&A session with the legend himself in what is sure to be an historic occasion in every way. Be sure to snap up a book before they all fly off the shelves.
