The winning lotto numbers for Monday 2nd May were; 11, 12, 17, 19 and 28. 10 winners matched 3 numbers. Jackpot still remains at £20,000 and snowball is now £200. The lotto is available in all the local shops.
SENIORS AND RESERVES
The seniors and reserves were away on Sunday 1st May to Clann na Gael for the 3rd round of the National Football League.
The reserves came away with a draw, 3.2 to 3.2.
SENIORS
1.10 – 0-8
Team; Marty McCreesh (CAPT), Denver Nugent, Kieran Cunningham, Brendan Burns, Ronan Quinn, Ciaran McKenna, Ronan McKenna, Brendan Cunningham, Mark McKenna, John Loughran, Sean Murphy, Kevin Armstrong, Hugh McNamee, Jarlath Quinn and Sean Nugent, subs on the day; Justy McCaffery, Hugh Pat McGeary, Christopher Colhune.
The Plunketts were in control from the start of the game and using the wind to their full advantage got of to a great start with scores from Kevin Armstrong (0.3), Mark McKenna (0.3), Sean Murphy (0.1), Hugh McNamee (0.1) and John Loughran (1.1). Half time score 1.8 to 0.4.
Clann na Gael came out a bit hungrier at the beginning of the second half but were unable to convert their chances into scores. The defence in this period was very strong which saw the Plunketts get another 2 scores from Hugh McNamee and Mark McKenna and Clann na Gael get 4 points, but the Plunketts kept their defence tight and there was to be no scores after the 22nd minute of play from either side.
Next game, Sunday 8th May at home to Urney, reserve game 2.15 and senior game 3.45.
SENIOR LADIES
5.13 – 3.4
The ladies were at home to Edendork on Thursday 28th April.
Team; Eimear McKenna, Zara Girvan, Caroline Goodfellow (CAPT), Stacey Corr, Claire Corrigan, Jane Loughran, Nuala McNamee (0.1), Evelyn Hagan, Bridgeen Mills (0.1), Colleen Girvan, Maria Quinn (1.2), Michaela McNamee (3.7), and Catriona McKenna (0.1). Subs on the day Michaela McGuigan (0.2), Niamh Armstorng and Lisa Murray.
The first half was to be a bit tight with Edendork able to penetrate our defence and find the net to keep them in the game and apply a bit of pressure to our girls, half time score 4.2 – 2.3. The second half was a completely different story with the Plunketts defending and Edendork only getting 2 scores in the second half. The Plunketts girls shifted into a different gear and Edendork weren’t able to keep up with them as they scored and impressive 1.11 in this half.
Next game is away to Stewartstown on Monday 9th May at 7pm.
YOUTH
MINOR GIRLS
The minor girls are in the semi final of the Championship on Friday 6th May, at home against Urney at 7pm.
MINOR BOYS
The Minor boys begin their championship campaign on Wednesday 4th May against Loughmacrory and the boys also have a home game in the league on Friday 6th May at 7pm against Eglish.
U14 BOYS
The boys were in good spirits last week and recorded 2 wins. The first was a home game against Cookstown with a final score of 3.12 to 3.10 on Tuesday and on Saturday another home win against Naomh Mhuire, 4.11 to 2.2.
The U14 boys also kick of the Championship this week against Newtownstewart at home on Tuesday 3rd May.
U10 GIRLS
The girls take part in day 2 of their blitzes, away to Galbally, on Saturday 7th May at 11am.
U8 and U10
All the U8’s and U10’s, both boys and girls are continue their training on Saturday mornings at 10.30. Anyone who would like to help out in any way with the training, please feel free to come along, or just stay when you drop off your child, all help is greatly appreciated and much needed.
U8 BOYS
The U8 boys take part in the first round of the go games blitzes on Saturday 7th May in Dungannon.
SWAP SHOP
