Club Notes 3rd Oct 2016

Pomeroy Na Pluínceídí CLG notes for 3rd Oct 2016

Best of luck to our seniors in the intermediate final against Derrylaughan at Healy Park Omagh this Sunday 9th Oct at 1:30pm. Get your flags out and support the lads all the way. Up the Plunketts!

The U10 lads travelled to Monaghan Harps on Saturday and beat Scotstown, Clones and Mulahorn. Unfortunately Scotstown made it back in through the back door and narrowly beat our boys in the final. Well done lads.

Ladies – U16s lost away to Aghaloo by 2 points in last Wednesdays match 4-8 to 3-9. They are now focusing on their upcoming league final. Thanks to all who turned out and contributed to our recent trip to Croke Park for the Ladies Senior Football Finals – it was day that will live long in the memory for all our girls who attended.

A special Club Centenary & Remembrance Mass for deceased members will take place this Friday night at 7:30pm. Lets ensure  all age grades and club categories  are represented and please proudly show off your club colours. The annual youth prize giving night will then take place in St Mary’s Primary School after the centenary mass and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Please get out and support our youth and give the senior lads a boost before the final. We hope to have Tyrone’s Anglo Celt Cup in attendance so there should be a photo opportunity for all.

Please be advised that there are very few tickets remaining for our Gala event which takes place on Saturday 22nd Oct 2016 in the Armagh City Hotel. A table seating 10 persons is £750. Single seat is £75.  All monies are to be forwarded in by next Saturday at the latest.

Book launch – it will be a night to remember and one not be missed as the 100 year centenary book will be launched in Murphy’s Bar/Lettuce Inn after mass on Saturday 15th Oct by none other than legendary RTE commentator and journalist Mr Micháel ó Muircheartaigh. Come along to relive some of your greatest club memories, enjoy some food and the craíc and a Q&A session with the legend himself in what is sure to be an historic occasion in every way. Be sure to snap up a book before they all fly off the shelves.

Centenary merchandise – We have 1916-2016 Na Pluínceídí 1/4 zips and club jackets priced at £40 and £45 respectively. Also available are new club playing shorts and excellent new style kitbags. Contact Alice or Leanne for more info.

Bingo is back on now in St Marys Hall every Monday night at 8pm.

The winning numbers for 26th Sept 2016 were 1, 5, 9, 14 & 18.  Jackpot now stands at £9900. Draw takes place during Monday night bingo. Lotto is now available to be played online through the club website at www.theplunkettsgac.ie .
