Joseph Mary Plunkett Day

 

A big thank you is conveyed to all those who made the effort to participate in the Joseph Mary Plunkett Day last Saturday. Many thanks to the Joseph Mary Plunkett Pomeroy Accordion Band who turned out splendidly, Pomeroy Comhaltas group and guest musicians, Gerry Cunningham and his band and Pomeroy Players drama group for their performances. Special thanks also to Fr Moore for conducting a lovely mass. All events were organised to mark this important occasion for our parish, our local clubs & groups and to recognise the esteem held for our patriot Joseph Plunkett.

 

Football

 

Ladies – There is no senior game this week but training continues as usual. Mens – The seniors and reserves are away to Eskra Emmetts this Sunday throw-in times 2:15pm and 3:45pm. U14 girls take on Owen Roes on Thursday evening.

The U14 lads take on Dromore this Saturday in the championship – throw in at 1pm. A big thank you to Mattie Brady for all his help and expertise with our strength and conditioning programme.

Anyone wishing to obtain tickets for the Tyrone v Derry Championship match are to forward their names to Caroline Doran or Dessie Grimes.

 

Club Centenary Gala ticket info

 

Tickets are being snapped up for our 100 year Gala event will take place on Saturday 22nd Oct 2016 in the Armagh City Hotel. Tickets are now available. A table seating 10 persons is £750 (deposit of £250 required). Single seat is £75 (£25 deposit required per seat).  Contact any committee member for further ticket information.

 

Lotto

 

The winning numbers for 2nd May were 3, 10, 13, 18 & 28. There were 6 winners who matched 3 numbers to share £100. Jackpot now stands at a whopping £7800 so get in there. Lotto is now available to be played online through the club website at www.theplunkettsgac.ie .The draw currently takes place in Nugents Corner Bar every Monday night and everyone is welcome to attend. If anyone is available to sell lotto in the local pubs on a Saturday night please contact Gerry McKenna. The sellers name is placed on a rota and they are only required to do this on approx. 2 occasions during the calendar year.
