Well it has to be said we are nearly finished with this danger zone that is “Behind the scenes – Strictly 2013”. But we are not done yet, no way Jose. One couple who will b looking to set the dance floor on fire is Lisa Murray and partner Noel McCreesh. Dedication is the name of the game for these two and confidence is high in the camp. Let’s get a word and see how things are shaping up.
Lisa, road running flat to the mat and dancing 7 days a week must be hard work. Did that stint in rehab recently in L.A give you the focus that you need to get through this gruelling schedule?
It was the Betty Forde Clinic that I was in. There is no shame in that. I admit that I was addicted to tanning but I’ve worked on it to get over my demons. The temptation is still there though and Strictly is though with all this St Tropez flying around. The road running was just a training regime that Wellies and I put together to get in shape. We are ready for anything and the fitness will see us through.
Wellies, we have heard that both Ronnie O’Sullivan and Phil “The Power” Taylor are flying in to support you. Is it going to be a wasted journey for your celebrity pals or will you do the business?
Oh yes, they are only 2 of many celebrity fans who will be arriving on the night. I hear that they have their banners at the ready. I have no worries as me and Lisa will do the business. When you see the likes of Brendy Cunningham and Marty McKeever jumping around like two “Fairies”, I am confident we will go all the way.
Lisa tell us how you feel when you hear the allegations made against you by Majella Laird that you tried to steal Brian Lagan from her and that you believed you were capable of dancing with 2 partners together at the same time?
I am always looking for a challenge. I could dance with 2 guys at the one time no problem and Majella knows this. She has limited ability and Brian told me that he could strike up a great relationship with Wellies in a Pomeroy/Rock combo……kind of a “through the barricades” scenario if you like.
Noel is it true that you have cut down to only 14 bottles of Harp per night and if so, why was there a delivery of Harp Lager made to your dressing room?
Yes, it is true, but it was delivered to the wrong dressing room. It was meant for Decky Callan plus it was more like 4 bottles as Decky couldn’t handle 14.
Finally guys, tell us about your outfits. Will it be risqué and revealing for the night?
Lisa – Whatever it takes. It’s not about the outfit, it’s about what’s in the outfit!
Noel – That would be telling. Well, all I can say is you will have to wait and see.
