Well done to the girls on winning the Minor League against Urney on Monday 11th April in Loughmacrory and bringing home the first piece of silverware for the Plunketts for 2011. This was an emphatic performance with the girls running out as well deserved winners on a scoreline of 8-5 to Urney’s 1-5. It’s hard to pick out particular individuals for praise but Michaela McNamee registered 4 goals, a wonderful individual tally. There were stand out performances throughout the team however with girls in front from the start with great support play they dominated the game in every area.
A great winning start for our youth in 2011 and there is sure to be more to come from this minor team as they begin their championship campaign.
