Senior/Reserve ACL
The Reserve and Seniors were away to Galbally on Sunday 15th April for the start of the All County Football League.

Reserve League
Pomeroy 3-18 Galbally 0-5

The Reserves got off to a fantastic start with a massive win over Galbally.

Seniors

Pomeroy 2-12 Galbally 0-12

The first half was a very fast paced game with great displays of teamwork all over the field.  Galbally opened the scoring quickly followed by Brendan Burns putting over the first Plunketts score, Galbally put over the next 2 points and the Plunketts answered back with 2 frees being put over by Ollie McCreesh and Justy McCaffery and John Loughran also added his name to the score sheet.  After a second yellow card, Galbally went a man down.  Pomeroy kept possession of the ball and added to their score line with 2 points from Ollie and one from Justy before the half time whistle.  Half time score Pomeroy 0-7 Galbally 0-3

The first 10 minutes saw Galbally close the gap with 4 points but Pomeroy kept ahead with points from Justy, Kieran McGeary and Stevie McKenna putting only 2 points between the sides.  A goal from Stevie McKenna after a short kickout from Galbally pushed The Plunketts into a nice lead with 15 minutes played of the second half.  Galbally put over another 2 points and Ollie put over another point.  In the 25th minute after some great work from John Loughran to work the ball up the pitch, Stevie again finished with a goal, this gave The Plunketts a 7 point lead with only 5 minutes remaining.  Galbally closed the dying minutes with 2 more points and Ollie put over the last score for Pomeroy.
