SENIORS AND RESERVES LEAGUE
The Reserves lost their game today against Cookstown with a score of 1-08 to 1-11.
The Seniors earn a point for the League after a draw with Cookstown and remain in joint 3rd place, with 2 games left to play.
Within the first 25seconds of play, Frank Burns had been fouled and the Plunketts were awarded a penalty, Ollie McCreesh stepped up to the plate to put away the first of Pomeroy’s goals of the day in the 1st minute. Ronan McKenna put over a 2nd minute point before Cookstown put over their 1st point in the 5th minute of the game. Frank Burns got his name onto the scoring sheet with a point in the 8th minute. Cookstown responded with 2 points from frees followed by a point from the Plunketts Kevin Armstrong. Cookstown again were on the tails of Pomeroy and again put replied with a point and with a point from a free from Ollie before Cookstown got the last score of the first half. Half time score 1.04 – 0.05
The Plunketts opened the scoring with a point from Kevin. Cookstown were pushing forward in the next 10mins and scored 4 points unanswered to put them ahead for the first time in the game until Kieran McKenna supplied Frank Burns with a superb pass who then fisted it into the net and again the Plunketts took the lead. Cookstown kept pushing away and put over another 5 points to put them ahead by 3 going into the last minutes, but a free for Pomeroy in the last minutes rebounded out for Kieran McKenna to find the net even with half of the Fr Rocks team on the line.

The Reserves are through to the next round of the Championship after a very strong win away to Moy on Saturday 15th September.
YOUTH
CONOR HARVEY ANNUAL TOURNAMENT
There were 8 teams taking part in this year’s Conor Harvey tournament, the Plunketts were put out in the Semi Final stage. The winning team of this year’s Conor Harvey tournament was Errigal Ciaran who beat Galbally by a point in the final. Many thanks to all the teams who took part, to all the supporters and to all who helped out in any way on the day.
PEARSE KENNEDY AND JACKIE LAMBE ANNUAL TOURNAMENTS
The Pearse Kennedy and Jackie Lambe tournaments will be taking place this Saturday 22nd September. All help is greatly appreciated.
U8 GIRLS
There is training for U8 girls on Wednesday evenings at 7, all girls from P1-P4 can attend.
U8/10 BOYS
The U8 boys took part in the County Blitz along with 9 other teams on Saturday morning. Training is on Wednesday evenings at 7. Bring inside and outside gear. All parents are asked to stay and help out.

CONDOLENCES
The committee and members of the Pomeroy Plunketts send their sincerest condolences to the family of the late Paddy Conlon and also to the family of the late Fr Andy McNally, Fr Andy was with us in the Parish during the early 90’s and is remembered with much love and respect. Our Lady of Knock pray for them.
