MEMBERSHIP

This is the last weekend for registration, so go along to the Old School after Mass on Saturday 24th March and Sunday 25th March.

Membership is now due for the incoming year.  The fee remains the same as last year; Family £50, Adult £25 and Child £5.  Contact Eddie Quinn (registar) 07867904229 for more information.  

FAMILY FUN DAY

There is a Family Fun Day on Sunday 25th March.  Starting with a 5km Run/Walk leaving Plunkett Park at 12.30.  There will be Refreshments on return.  A presentation to the winning teams of 2011(Senior Ladies, Minor Ladies and U16 Boys).  There is also a Live to Play Demostration.

Fun for all afterwards with; team sports, rodeo bull, bouncy castles, tug-o-war, penalty kick competition and much much more.

POMEROY’S BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGE

We are now in the 5th week of the Biggest Loser Challenge.  Come and join in the craic for the last couple of weeks.  £8 per week.  

There are no hard or fast rules, you complete the activities that suit you when they suit you, each activity attended will earn your team points, and the points made will go towards your team score.  Winning team members will receive free club membership for the incoming year.  

Activities include; aerobics, rounders, netball, yoga, jiving, bowls, ju-jitsu, walks, ceili dancing, on your bike, rambles and go easy gaelic for men and women plus much more.  

FIGHT NIGHT

The Plunketts will be hosting a Fight Night on Saturday 21st April at 8pm, in the Glenavon House Hotel.  Tickets £20.  Contact any of the committee or senior players for tickets. 

LOTTO

The winning lotto numbers for Monday 19th March were; 9, 16, 18, 19 and 24.  Well done to Joe Knipe who matched 4 numbers and wins £250.  

Lotto remains at £20,000.

LADIES FOOTBALL

Senior and Minor girls continue training on Monday and Wednesdays at 7.30.  ContactLorrainefor more details.  

Senior league starts on the 7th April with an away game against Galbally at 6pm.  

Minor girls are away to Drumragh on Monday 26th March, game at 6.30.  

DVD’s of the 2011 League Final are still available for £7, contact Lorraine.  

YOUTH

U16 BOYS

The boys are at home again on Saturday 24th March against Stewartstown at 1pm.  

U12 BOYS

Training every Friday at 7pm.  

U10/12/14 GIRLS

Training is on this Friday evening at 7pm.  All girls are asked to attend. Bring indoor and outdoor gear.   All parents are asked to stay and help out, especially mums.  

U10 girls blitzes

Day 1 – Saturday 24th March away to Aodh Ruadh

Day 2 – Saturday 5th April away to Moy   

U12 girls league/blitz on Tuesday 27th March at 11am – away to Carrickmore

U14 girls start on Monday 2nd April away to Fintona at 6.30pm.  

U16 girls start on Thursday 14th June at home to Newtownstewart at 7pm.  

U8/10 BOYS

Training is on this Friday evening at 7.  Bring inside and outside gear.  All parents are asked to stay and help out.

WELL DONE

Well done to the Dean Maguirc College on winning the first ever Ward Cup last Wednesday 14th March when they beat Armagh College by 1.9 – 0.9.  Well done to all involved and especially to our lads on the team, Ryan and Ruairi Begley.   

Well done also to St Patrick’s Academy on winning the U14 Corn na Og cup.  Special word to Jack Devlin who represented the Plunketts on the team.  

HANDBALL

CONGRATULATIONS 
Congratulations to our Club girls who were playing for the Tyrone Handball team on Wednesday evening and who are now Ulster Champions.  

U17 doubles – Michaela McGuigan and Michaela McNamee who beat Donegal by 2 games to 0

U17 single – Zara Girvan who beat Derry by 2 games to 0.  

Also congratulations to our U15 doubles team of Lucy McGeary and Patricia McDonald who also made it to the Ulster Final but lost out toArmagh.  

GOOD LUCK IN THE ALLIRELAND SEMI-FINALS

ULSTER V CONNACHT

The All Ireland Semi Finals are taking place in Tyrone this weekend.   U17 girls single – Zara Girvan will be playing on Saturday 24th March in Loughmacrory, starting at 1pm.  U17 girls doubles – Michaela McGuigan and Michaela McNamee will be playing on Sunday 25th March in Beragh, starting 2pm.
