Andrea takes Voice Crown
Pomeroy was certainly buzzing on Saturday night as our very own songbird Andrea Begley was crowned winner of The Voice 2013 and won a lucrative recording contract with Universal Records. Words cannot describe the atmosphere in the town and how proud the local community are of Andrea, she most definitely has the voice of an angel. We are eagerly awaiting her return to Pomeroy for the homecoming party! We wish her every success in the future and congratulations once more on a well deserved victory.
BBQ, Strictly, Family Funday & Bingo!
To follow on from the atmosphere that Andrea has created for us, we have a fantastic weekend lined up to keep the celebrations going. The weekend begins on Friday 28th June with a steak BBQ night, followed by music from popular local band HYPE, then on Saturday 29th June the eagerly anticipated “Strictly Come Dancing – Pomeroy Style!” This is sure to be a highly entertaining night, so please come out and show your support to all our dancers, who have trained so hard over the past weeks to give us a great show! Everyone must be seated for 8.30pm SHARP! Tickets for both nights can be purchased from club members, dancers & local shops. Get yours now as tickets are selling fast! The weekend closes on Sunday with a Family Funday, at 7pm the U21’s have a home game against Omagh St Enda’s and at 8pm Big Money Bingo kicks off presented by Paddy McKernan with a Jackpot that must go!!

The lad’s turned in a good display to take the points away from Dromore on Sunday evening, final result 3-6 to 0-13. The lads take on Omagh at home this Sunday. Throw in at 7pm.

Lotto
Numbers for Monday 24th June are 6,13,17,19 and 25. Next draw takes place in Nugent’s Corner Bar Monday 1st July. All are welcome and if anyone is interested in selling club lotto please contact any current seller or committee member. Sellers are particularly welcome for doing the town on Saturday nights. This is done on a rota basis and sellers are required to do this no more than 2 or 3 times a year.
