SENIOR LADIES
Friday evening was a very proud evening for all Plunketts, when the Senior Ladies won their first final. Right from the start whistle the ladies were in control and played some of their best football of the season, with every girl playing their socks off. The girls have worked hard all year, with a clean sheet in the league and also making it to the Championship final but lost out to a stronger Castlederg side. But lessons were learned from that game and the management and team were determined not to make the same mistakes again and none were made this time against Castlederg. Well done to Felix Nugent, Denver Nugent and to all the girls.
TEAM; Eimear McKenna, Stacey Corr, Zara Girvan, Caroline Goodfellow (CAPTAIN), Clare Corrigan, Niamh Armstrong, Nuala McNamee, Evelyn Hagan, Catriona McKenna, Michaela McGuigan, Maria Quinn, Michaela McNamee, Jane Loughran, Bridgeen Mills, Lisa Murray, Catriona Mills and Maire Quinn.
SENIOR FOOTBALL
Hard luck to the Senior men who just lost out by a point in the Championship. This was a tough game which saw the lads take on Urney last Thursday evening in Newtownstewart. It was a very tight game and that could have went either way and had everyone on the edge of their seats until the last kick.
TEAM; Marty McCreesh (CAPTAIN), Aidan Cunningham, Denver Nugent, Sean Nugent, Ciaran Cunningham, Ciaran McKenna, Hugh Pat McGeary, Mark McKenna, Ronan McKenna, Brendan Burns, Ollie McCreesh, Kevin Armstong, Justy McCafferty, Christopher Colhoun and Jarlath Quinn. Subs; Sean Murphy, Sean Quinn, Kieran McGeary and Brendan Cunningham.
The last league game of the season takes place this Saturday 3rd September at home against Gortin.
