Reserve Intermediate Championship Semi-final
Pomeroy 3-5 Rock 0-8
Two first half goals from Ciaran Cunningham and a decisive major from Ciaran McKenna effectively ended the Rocks challenge early on in this tough encounter. The Apprentice, taking up an unusual role at full forward, blasted two super strikes to the back of the St Patricks net and further complimented those goals with a point prior to half time.
Ciaran McKenna was pulling all sorts of strings over the park, linking well with Brendy Conway and Eunan McCourt before netting to open a 9 point gap at half time.
Rock rallied well in the second period and although they had the majority of pssession they just could not break down a strong Plunketts defence which included strong performances from Marty McKeever, Nial McKeever and Micky McDonald. Final score Pomeroy 3-5 Rock 0-8.
