SENIORS/RESERVE LEAGUE
The boys were out in action again on Sunday 5th September, when they were away to Aghaloo. Reserves 2.18 – 2.5 The reserves continued their run of winning success with a great win. Seniors 1.16 – 1.12 Aghaloo started the game with a quick 6 point lead before Pomeroy were able to put over their first score courtesy of a Sean Murphy free, followed by a Sean Quinn point put over from a free. Pomeroy maintained control and were rewarded with points from Seanie Nugent, Sean Murphy and Sean Quinn. Half time score 0.6 – 0-7. Pomeroy were quick off the blocks and Sean Murphy put over a point followed by a goal. Pomeroy dominated the second half with Jarlath Quinn and Rony McKenna winning ball in midfield and the forwards putting over vital scores giving us a 9 point lead at one point, scores from Sean Quinn, Sean Murphy, Ollie McCreesh, Rony McKenna, Denver Nugent before Aghaloo were able to break through the strong defence and score a point, Ciaran McKenna replied with a point but again Aghaloo were to find their way through our defence and hammered in a goal followed by 2 points.
