The Strictly Weekender is here!
Roll up! Roll up! It’s almost time for the big weekend festival in the foothills of the Sperrins. We’ve got it all happening this weekend for whatever your taste so be sure not to miss out on all the fun and festivities throughout the weekend.
Friday 28th June is BBQ Steak Night
What better way to start your weekend than relaxing amongst friends on a fine evening. No one needs to be slaving over a hot BBQ at home after a long week. Come on up to Plunkett Park where we will do it all for you. We have fabulous food lined up with Stepz restaurant providing exceptional cuisine all cooked over the hot coals by talented local Chefs Paul McCann and Mark Girvan.
If that’s not enough to whet your appetite why not kick back in our splendid Marquee Bar or dance the night away to the exceptional “Hype” who will be appearing just fresh from the launch of their debut album. A great way to kick start the weekend. Tickets are available from committee members and local shops and are priced at £12:50.
“Strictly Come Dancing Pomeroy Style” – Saturday 29th June
The stage has been set, the dancers are more than ready and our hosts Eilis Kelly & Denis Devlin are primed for the biggest of gigs. After weeks of hard work and countless hours of rehearsals our dancers are ready to hit the floor. We have a top notch judging panel to be revealed on the night and the premier of some of the best dance videos ever to be seen in Pomeroy. It all takes place in our fantastic Marquee.
Tickets are going like hot cakes so be sure to snap one up before they sell out. They are available in local shops, from our dancers, organising team and committee members.
Tickets are priced at £20:00 for adults with concessions available for U16’s and children (see posters for details).
Important notice –all patrons are asked to please be seated at 8:15pm as the show will start at exactly 8:30pm sharp. Come early and bring your tickets to avoid disappointment.
Sunday 30th June is “Family Fun Day” with Big Bingo
Sunday is one for the kids with a host of activities and entertainment events at Plunkett Park. There will be face painting, clowns, bouncy castles, novelty races, ice cream and much, much more with refreshments available from our fabulous Marquee throughout the day. It all kicks off from 3pm.
Then why not take a flutter with our “Big Bingo” with our host Paddy McKernan which gets underway at 8pm in the Marquee. What better way to round off a fantastic weekend which promises something for everyone.
So come along to Plunkett Park for our Summer Festival, Strictly Weekender and Family Funday from the 28th – 30th June. Pomeroy is certainly the place to be and we promise – YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED.
